30 year Anniversary for Swofford Construction, Inc.
In June of this year, Swofford Construction, Inc. celebrated 30 years in business with a company wide picnic. Dedicated to a family oriented business, Ken and Diane Swofford hosted the family picnic at their private residence in Douglasville. All the employees and their families, business associates and friends were invited to attend the celebration. Filled with games for the children as well as great BBQ and socializing, the picnic was a great success!

kevinleed Kevin Davis Passes LEED Exam
Kevin Davis, one of our project managers, has passed the LEED exam and is now qualified as a LEED Accredited Professional for New Construction.

To become a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP), it is necessary to study and to become completely familiar with the “LEED Reference Guide” and to pass a comprehensive test on the material in the Guide. Congratulations Kevin!


Toys For Tots
Swofford Construction will be helping the Young Leaders of the Georgia Branch, AGC make their goal of bringing Holiday joy to less fortunate children. Swofford Construction collected donations of new, unwrapped toys to send to Toys for Tots through the AGC Young Leaders Program.


Make-A-Wish
For another amazing year of sponsorship with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Swofford Construction has been recognized for helping a little girl become a princess.

thorntonreopen John Thornton Chevrolet Reopening
Swofford Construction recently attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for John Thornton Chevrolet. Attendees included new and old customers, General Motor and Chevrolet executives, local Chamber of Commerce members, local Law Enforcement and Fire Fighting professionals.

John Thornton was recognized by General Motors for being a Chevrolet Dealer for the past 25 years. At the dealership, a 2010 Camero was on display, one of only a handful in the United States. There were also games for the children in attendance and barbeque lunch for everyone.
